What you will learn
By the end of the course, learners will be able to…
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
 - Conduct a primary survey for infants and children
 - Deliver CPR for babies, children, and adults
 - Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely
 - Manage a casualty who is choking (infant, child, adult)
 - Recognise and manage (Asthma & allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, Seizures & febrile convulsions, Shock, Head, neck & spinal injuries, Diabetes & meningitis)
 - Treat bleeding, burns, fractures, sprains, and dislocations
 - Provide first aid for eye injuries and poisoning
 - Deal with minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises)
 - Record incidents in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
